Ourstory: Bayyinah Bello Speaks on the Ayitian Revolution
Presentation by Ayitian historian Bayyinah Bello entitled “Fulfilling Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King’s Prophecy: Ayitian Revolution.” Presented in 1997, Professor Bello’s lecture highlights the following topics:
1) The history of U.S. foreign policy in Ayiti
2) Ayitian Vodun spirituality and its connection to the Ayitian Revolution
3) Ayiti’s 1805 constitution, a constitution that was deliberately revised by U.S. intervention in the early 1900′s in order to prevent it’s content from inspiring global Pan-Afrikan revolution.
4) The miseducation of melanated people in benefit of the system of Racism White Supremacy.
